Does perthes get passed on?

I was diagnosed with Perthes when I was 8. In thinking of some day having kids, I was wondering if anyone knows how likely it is to pass on Perthes to your kids? Do any of our adults on this website who have perthes pass it to their kids? Does anyone know anyone who has? Are there any studies out there about this? Doctor's opinions?
