Tom, I have not seen a trilateral socket brace in quite some time. I remember seeing one at Disney World about five, or so, years ago. The family was, I think, from South or Central America. Had I not known a family earlier whose son wore one, I wouldn't have known what it was. I think most US physicians use the abduction braces that allow weight bearing. I think there are quite a few German physicians that still use the weight relieving braces.
