It sounds like both "Tims" had only one hip affected by LP. I have a nephew, just diagnosed, and his parents are undecided about treatment choices. I too had LP, unilateral, damaging my left leg hip, and was treated in a hideous thing called (if I remember) a tri-lateral hip socket brace. Is that still prescribed? It sure seems a sling and crutches would be easier.
