Steve,
Be careful. 10-11 is a pretty late stage for Perthese and the prognosis is usually not very good. I think you have been very lucky so far. Take care of that hip and it'll take care of you. My suggestion would be to stop doing heavy weight exercises for your leg, and tame down any sports activities that may cause sudden and frequent jerks on the hip joint.
: I had LCPD when I was 10-11,very difficult 3 years for me,Im now 35 and have recently started having pain in my hip again, just had a xray and the physician said there was an abnormality in my hip,and they are trying to get me into a orthopedic, can LCPD come back or is it just results of it,I never had problems before,I actually have very strong legs, can leg press alot of weight, when I was a little younger :),can run fast and jump high, really took care of my legs for most of my life,so not sure what else it may be
: Thanks
