My 10 year old daughter (now 12) was diagnosed with Perthes in January of 2002. Her course of treatment was monitoring and restricted activity with no running or jumping during that time. She had been an excellent soccer player and it was her passion. Two weeks ago, we were given the go ahead to slowly resume soccer activities, but she's forgotten how to run. Also her Perthes leg still has some restriced motion. Is there anybody out there who has suggestions as to how to recover her running motion. I'm a realist and I know that it will never be the way it was before, but we need a starting place. Thanks in advance for any information!!
